These pups often require 8 weeks of strict rest, and may benefit from physical therapy as well. WebMost dogs with spondylosis deformans appear to be pain-free and in these cases treatment is not necessary. If the pet appears to be painful, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or other analgesics may provide relief. Physical therapy, weight loss, and controlled exercise programs may be helpful in some cases.
