WebbThe Protecting God’s Children™ program is a three-hour video presentation. Any adult volunteer who comes into contact with children is required to attend this program. Workshops require PRE-registration. Past attendees are eligible to sign up for ongoing bulletins from Virtus. WebbIt is our policy that any clergy, church staff, or volunteer who come into contact with children, elderly, and other vulnerable persons, must comply to a criminal background check and take part in our three-hour Protecting God’s Children (PGC) workshop. WebbThe Diocese of Reno requires all lay people, paid and/or volunteers, 18 years of age and older, to participate in the Protecting God's Children program. Even though the ministry you choose does not include children under the age of 17 years, you will encounter them during your time at St. Rose. WebbTeen-aged volunteers (under age 18) and youth (under age 18) who are paid employees or receive a stipend for work in parishes, schools, and affiliated agencies must completed the following Safe Environment requirements. Volunteers under age 18 should be paired with an adult or another teen and regularly supervised by an adult.
