Personally I'd like the ability to only fold down one of the seats and be able to lay the ski's straight. That way I could accomodate 1 passenger in the back, situationally.

I usually drop the seats in the back so there's a continuous space from the trunk to the front. it'll cut out one of your passenger seats, but I make trips with 3 other people and 4 pairs of skis.
